One year your struggling to bend notes on the harmonica, then 5 minutes into the new year's first lesson your bending notes like you're just breathing. Oh, yeah...it is just breathing. Apparently I was breathing in way to hard when trying to get a bend, making my airway/mouth/lips cave in like I was sucking air out of a plastic water bottle. I just drew air in real slow to get a 2 draw note, literally to see how light I could draw and get the note. Then I increased the speed of that draw to get "louder" and bend, saaaay what. Try again: bend!!!! OK why now, why this easy? I've struggled for like a year. I mean its still a trick to do it within a tune but I can now hit it without "bending PTSD". I was going to drop the harmonica but then I remembered it was like $80 dollars and I have a dog. But it was that type of moment.
