PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT

My name is Ronnie Blanchet. I’m a singer-songwriter, artist producer from Los Angeles, California. I started singing in the church at a young age, eventually pursued music in school, picked up a guitar, songwriting,started my own band and now am a singer songwriter who produces his own music.

My musical interest include the marriage of European harmony & African rhythms (Jazz) as well as the roots of popular music being found in hymns, spirituals and folk songs here in America. I specialize in singing, songwriting, guitar, harmonica performing gospel roots music (being folk, jazz, doo-woo, soul, rhythm & blues, rock n’ roll) and finding a way to communicate my poetry through these mediums of delivery rooted in a Christian Worldview.

At the moment my present musical activities that would align with my musical/philosophical/theological outlook would have to be the album I’m doing I’m calling, “Work Songs”, a collection of spirituals, hymns, folk song and ballads I’m using to demonstrate that the devil can’t have all the good music*. I also regularly sing jazz standards at assisted living facilities to help the elderly regain memory (for Alzheimer & dementia patients) and have a good time doin’ it.

My musical career goals up to this point are to help people know God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) more through His creation to be grateful for the gift that music is that is given by Him and to have peace with God through Jesus Christ by grace alone, through repentance and faith alone in Him The Fathers Son. I believe that we can understand God better this way in the church and out within His Kingdom. I’d LOVE to do that for a living and to do it, with a little bit of joy.
