ON THE UNRELIABILITY OF SPRING
What if Spring weather feels so unreliable not for the sake of it’s own un-reliability, but that GOD is reminding us that to truly live, we we must die-two opposing things such as rain and sunshine are different from one another and the two are decidedly taking turns to appear as if they are undecided on what the weather shall be at this very moment (in this analogy, one at least perceives the opposites now plainly) ;and what such a day for a demonstration such as this after Good Friday (The Death of Jesus)-though not explicit, but implicitly within this very moment there is an opportunity to prepare our hearts for the juxtaposition of: living life to die, in order to attain resurrection (coming back from the dead).
Rain for Sunshine*
In fact, within this day and age this theme of contrast is opposed by its antithesis; faded pink, purple, green rainbows of hard-shelled egg filled back yards of easter eggs for no apparent reason (sure)…what a curious easter bunny sinister in its originators attempted use of the art of distraction upon the day in which History hinges (Easter)-yet by God the attempt is thwarted because ultimately to attain the backdrop of the advertised bunny’s pleasant scenery we must live to die to live resurrected eternally with HIM and those living without dying to themselves surrounded by their easter eggs will live without The Easter Egg (HIM) hidden in plain sight. What a strange scenario, like when the weather quickly shifts from rain to sunshine then back to rain then sunshine…
By nature we don’t want it.
By nature we don’t want HIM.
By GRACE we are saved kicking and screaming at times not clutching, but only hoping to grasp at the blades of our love of our sin and hatred of HIM; our old self-law (autonomy) only to be lead faithfully to want to obey Gods Law (Theonomy) , by GODS GRACE and the like, but I digress…
Though on this day people disregarding The Lamb run to the rabbit (or are reluctant about that race upon that day) only ignoring what HAS been revealed to them through what has been made (that is why we are all without excuse-we know HIM) I am sure that they will be eternally grateful to be resurrected in Hell and not with HIM (like a wiseman had once said), yet like someone did for us, we are still commanded to remind them plainly what they already know in light of The Gospel that they don’t know so they will no longer continue believing that they do not believe…
as you can hopefully read plainly this world is full contract, antithesis and paradoxes. In my puttering I hope, but I am not certain of the reason for THE UNRELIABILITY OF SPRING weather ,but I know that art is allusive; that it points to something and it is our job to find objectivity within what the thing being alluded to can signify by its symbol. I have a revelation epistemology (I know what I know because God said so and no one can account for anything apart from what HE Has revealed). I know that this world is GODS Living Canvas and that even if I am not certain about Holy holidays relation to the weather,GOD is
and I’m sure if HE wanted to communicate it, HE would and what HE communicated, we could ABSOLUTELY
know
plainly.
