VIGILANTES
VIGILANTES
VIGILANTES
When you drive by a stranger do you think, “thats a murderer”?
Would you park your car while your brights burn white thinking, “I don’t believe he is just walking his dog”?
Did you wait because you lost faith in the police department ever since that woman was bludgeoned to death blood-spattered- red-concrete with a heavy hammer stopped her when she was only walking her dog before Christmas
morning?
It seems the news is so particular and its use is not for our information, but for your panic and alarm (their shame).
I could have just been afraid because I have a lot to lose (,but more to gain) so this just seemed different…
As we walked past you while we crossed the street
I felt tears run fast uncontrollably;
wet streaks
down my right cheek (though on my left you could only see me blinking);thinking being willing to protect what I love beside me maybe hating who’s parked on the other side of the street, but as I weighed my possibilities (quickly) it hit me; it didn’t seem like you were there to hurt us, but only doing the same thing.
You were full of pain, fear and fright-I felt it (your intentions), but then again I could be wrong and then I was right.
I guess we just forgot who the real criminals are ever since some of us became willing to become vigilantes.
