THIS WORLD/CITY STREETS
THIS WORLD/CITY STREETS

THIS WORLD/ CITY STREETS
These streets are the veins
of our cities.
Every blvd.
Highway
Freeway
street sign
alley way
gives us sway to flow free
,but
where is the heart that beats?...
I'm on the search.
I’m
provoked
to leave.
I must ride
-leave this place behind
and
fly
with His purpose.
From death to alive
bring with me
passengers that may hitch hike
on the way to the wonder
of Gods glory
through HIS compelling LIGHT.
New potters vessels;
as daughters and sons,
To the end of His story
divinely one
and THRICE
Holy.
I'm a just a city boy
learnin' the ways of the country road.
The plastic bags blowin' in the wind;
our modern tumbleweeds.
I can keep running to run
,but my hearts on a leash.
For others guid I
those to whom HE did seek.
For the spirit’s alive
to translate us
into sweet release.
Let me go.
Traffic
Freeways
Highways
Delays
Skyscrapers
Toll roads
-These city lights
are such a sight
,but only light pollution
from the hands of man
compared
to the wonder
of Gods
majestic
starry eyed sky.
This World
These City Streets
will be conquered
not by us
-Thrice Holy
God
One.
Have you ever wondered
If there was a Lord above
If there is
Where is He?
When this world
is run
melting like wax
in the palms
of its sons.
They live at the top
and laugh
at us
-no ones.
The Sickness
the toil
the old beaten road
seems long and weary
no assurance to hold.
God does what he pleases
and His Son
- you will behold
has won.
These city lights
This world
Is won.
The end;
spoken from the beginning
-not by us…
God.
